Background Story:
Yuuka Ito is a girl who lives in a small (magical) land called Utopia. Most of the people there have magical powers, most Precure are born there. Yuuka was born in the royal family as only child and thus as Princess. She had a happy childhood even though she didn't have a lot of friends. When she was younger she got a pet from her parents; a magical talking creature called Pastel. Because Yuuka didn't have a lot of friends Pastel soon became her best friend and still is. Soon Pastel discovered Yuuka had the powers to become a strong Precure, but she was still too young to realise this. Pastel decided not to tell her until until she was old enough, but did tell her lots of stories about Precure.
When Yuuka turned twelve years old Pastel gave her a magical mirror as present. Pastel decided it was time to tell Yuuka about her powers. Yuuka was first scared to know about her powers, but was still curious about them. After a while Yuuka decided she wanted to be a Precure and learn how to use her powers and so transformed for the first time into her Precure self: Cure Diamond. She trained a lot with Pastel and learned how to control and use her precure powers.
It took her lots of time but she became stronger and stronger. She started fighting real monsters and kept peace in Utopia. Then she discovered another magical item that had belonged to her grandmother. It looked like a jewelry box, but no one knew what kind of powers it had. Pastel recognized it as the 'Princess Crest', along lost magical item. Yuuka used it to get a Precure Power Up and transformed into Princess Cure Diamond. Now Yuuka still lives in Utopia and protects the land of monsters and dark forces.
